Door Gift

Early this month on December 5th to be exact, my friends and I had organised a gathering for the ex-Convent Girls School for Class of '82.

Among many things that we prepare there are this door gift bag given as a token of appreciation of their presence.

Since it's a pot luck kind of gathering, everybody contributing in whatever ways they can.  And  being  a crafter I contribute pouches to be included in the door gift bags.

After 28 years of separation, and with everyone busy with own businesses, careers and families
the gathering are really the joyous and meaningful to everyone. The one day gathering really just not enough to exchange stories.   The day was ended with a group photo with everyone holding the door gift bag and looking forward for another gathering.

Month of July

I have been so busy this month... receiving orders and try to complete all the orders on time.  Being a full time employee,a wife and a mother to five children is really tough for me in managing my time...  Anyway I enjoy doing it ...and time past very fast.  I always love to look at the result and really happy if my customer satisfied with what they received.  I also accept  pattern that not displayed at my blog.  What I need is just a photo of what the customer need.  Basically I choose in making baby hat and booties since these two items are not taking a lot of my time in completing it.  I'm still working on few crochet hats and booties - orders received from the people who love handmade items. Well...that's about  it ... just to highlight to everyone why I've been so quiet lately.

Crochet time...

Last night I worked on a baby booties.  It is really a very easy pattern and I've completed the booties just within two hours.  I use a flower as the embellishment since I make it to pair with the beanie from the same yarn.  Here I share the photo of it .... I'm thinking of making more of it in different colours...I really enjoy doing  it.
Maybe in my next post I will share the link to the pattern with everyone.

Sewing

It has been quite sometime I do crocheting...since I was so busy sewing bags and stuff for sale at the Carnival at my area.  The carnival just took place last Saturday and Sunday(29th-30th May).  Among the sewing stuffs that were on display for sale on that day aside from bags were pin cushions, zipper pencil case, makeup kit and coin purses.
This is the handmade banner that I've made with the help of my children.  I used this banner to promote my craft  stall/corner at the carnival.

Zipper pencil case

Sling Bags/Tote bags

Coin purses - my first few purses that I've made...not very perfect but OK la...

Pin cushions
I still continue with my sewing since there are few fabric that I've cut but not manage to complete on time. And in between I also do crocheting since I've received orders for the baby beanie and I need to complete it by tomorrow...as being promised.
