Cute Flower Pattern

Hello there and Happy New Year to all!!

I'm back with a simple flower pattern to start the new year.  This flower pattern is so quick and easy.  It looks great for baby hat, headband or even for small purses. You can crochet one up in no time!

This pattern is suitable for beginners as it only use two  basic crochet stiches, a single crochet and double crochet stiches.

Here is what you will need:

Yarns - Red for petals

            Yellow for center

            Green for leaves

Steel Hook - Size 3 or any size that suitable with the yarn that you use.

Scissors and yarn needle

Notes:

If you prefer your flower bigger in size you can use a chunky weight yarn with a bigger size hook.

Main pattern stiches and abbreviations: ch- chain; sc - single crochet; dc - double crochet; sl st - slip stitch

CENTER(Yellow yarn)

R1 - Ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. Cut off yarn.

PETALS (Red yarn)

R2 - Attach red yarn to any sc, *ch2, 3dc, ch2, sl st in the same sc. sl st to the next sc**  Repeat from * to ** 5 times. You will have 5 petals. Cut off.

LEAVES (Green yarn)

R1 - *ch 5. dc on 3rd ch from the hook. ch 2, sl st on top of last dc made. Dc on same st as earlier dc, sl st on next 2 chs. Ch3 and Repeat * to **.  Cut off.  You will have 2 leaves attach together.

December Finishes #01 : Crocheted Pencil Cases

Hi everyone!

It has been a while I share my finishes at my blog.  Today I am showing you my recent finished project which are crocheted pencil cases.  The first one is meant to be for a girl. I used pink and yellow color.

The second one I used blue and white...which meant to be for boys

Both pencil cases are using the same checker pattern.  Below are both pencil cases after I add the zipper puller.

I love the girl set with flower and butterfly zipper puller which just make it perfect.

I follow the pattern from one of the Japanese magazine "Cotton Friend" that I bought
some time last year.

I used two balls of  40gm Wina yarn in dark grey which you can find HERE. Any two balls of yarn bought from my shop will receive this pattern for free.  My next Stash Buster Challenge will be using these file of beautiful yarns...

May finishes #02 : Crocheted cushion cover

This post is part of the Stash Buster Challenge!

Hi Everyone!
Yes! I'm very slow indeed in my stash-buster challenge.  This is my second project for the stash-buster challenge.  I've finished crocheting these African flowers ...
 into granny squares and
turn it into this cushion cover.  This is how the front looks like. I used 17 pieces of African flowers in total.  16 pieces for the front

and a piece for the back. The cover fit for a cushion size 16" x 16".  I use the photo that I take before the cover completed...

My next project for the stash-buster challenge is to use-up these cotton thread.
I'm sharing this at the following linky party :
