Embroidery 101 : Block 4

This week what I did  for sewing was stiching the
Block 4 of  Embroidery 101 Quilt Along
at Clover &Violet.

The most challenging part when stitching this pattern was when
working with the long and short stich.
That is why, I choose to stitch the bird and the roof  pattern
after I have completed the others...

Anyway with the little diagram provided by Jennie
on how to worked the stitches I managed to
complete it.

The little diagram was really helpful!!

Just to share with everyone following are all the four completed
blocks for the Embroidery 101 : Stitch and Quilt Along.

I also share this post at Sew Darn Crafty
and Clover & Violet.

Happy Stitching!!

Tuition Bag ...

Adam, my younger son has been asking
for ages for a tuition bag.
He would like to have a tote bag
with zipper to be used when attending his afternoon class.
His school bag is just too big for him...
Basically sewing a bag does not take so much time ...
just sometime there are too many things
in my head that makes me tend to forget ...

And today,I come out with this tuition bag for him
with a pocket in the inside.
This bag was made using stash fabric.

He insist to have 'tuition bag' wording stitch on it...

and since there is a ship...
he also asked to embelish it with a yoyo, as a sun ...

And this is how the completed bag looks like!
He was so happy  with the result.

To him everything was
just perfect as how he wants it to be...
and here is Adam, showing off his new bag!!

 Happy Sewing !!!

Yo-Yo Along

I am so happy today upon received a parcel from the post Office!!
Do you want to know what was inside it???
Well it was a yo-yo maker...

I never expect to received it this soon since the supplier
promised to post it only during weekends...
Anyway I send my many thanks to Zila the owner
of  the shop for sending it earlier...
By having this yo-yo maker, now I can participate
in the Yo-Yo Along with Penny at Sew Take A Hike ...
If you're interested to join, please visit her blog for the details.

Being so excited having this tool,
I start to play around with it.
And this is my first yo-yo made using the maker...

And as at today, I've already made  25 yoyos ...
and that mean I still have about 983 yoyos to go
if  I would like to have the same size of yoyo quilt as Penny's.

Happy Sewing!!!
